Role Overview
The evening Cleaner Supervisor oversees staff and cleaning tasks throughout an office building.
Assigned areas include washrooms, kitchenettes, cafeteria, cubicles, meeting rooms, offices, and other building spaces.
The supervisor also assists with cleaning duties when staffing is short or when needed to improve the area.
Responsibilities
- Control budgeted hours, assign daily tasks, inspect work, and maintain cleaning personnel timekeeping records.
- Train new cleaning personnel and implement health and safety procedures.
- Ensure safety devices and personal protective equipment are available and properly used.
- Respond to customer requests, ensure follow-up, and control inventory.
- Ensure client assignments and tickets are completed.
Qualifications
- Cleaning equipment operation, communication, independent work, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds are required.
- A clear criminal background check is required, and the successful candidate must be able to obtain a reliability security clearance.
- Floor care and strip-and-wax crew experience are assets.
- Knowledge of Ecolab, Tennant, or Globe products is an asset.
