Position Overview
Join Cooper Equipment Rentals as a customer-oriented Class 5 Driver supporting equipment deliveries and pickups.
The role provides stable, year-round employment with training and safety-focused support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver and pick up pump and generator equipment from customer jobsites.
- Load, unload, and secure equipment according to company procedures.
- Complete pre-inspections, post-inspections, regulatory logs, and timesheets.
- Check gas, oil, and other fluid levels.
- Obtain customer signatures and maintain accurate delivery and pickup records.
- Report delivery issues and schedule delays to supervisors and dispatch.
- Verify delivered items against customer orders.
- Document missing or damaged equipment and move damaged equipment to the repair area.
- Provide basic customer instruction on safe equipment operation when needed.
- Keep the truck clean and professional.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid Class G/5 driver's licence with a clean or satisfactory abstract and no more than three demerit points.
- Construction equipment, pump and power equipment, commercial driving, heavy truck, or trailer experience is an asset.
- Comfort working outdoors year-round and driving in varying weather, road, and city conditions.
