Role overview
Transport modular buildings, matting, equipment, and oilfield and mining supplies across Western Canada.
Report to the Manager, Operations, and provide safe, reliable, on-schedule transportation.
This is a safety-sensitive position requiring drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Operate various trucks over outdoor terrain and through all weather conditions.
- Attend pre-job safety meetings and check safety and emergency equipment.
- Complete daily logs, inspection logs, required forms, and other paperwork.
- Communicate with colleagues and consult supervisors and crews about operational deficiencies.
- Comply with legislation covering safe operation, carriage of goods, driver hours, and occupational health and safety.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 driver's license.
- Minimum 4–5 years of winch experience.
- Air Brake endorsement (Z).
- Defensive driving course.
- Lowbed experience.
- Valid H2S and Standard First Aid certifications.
