Key Purpose
· To rate the analysis and preparation of technical and commercial bids for tenders.
Role & Responsibilities
· Scrutinizing of tender document, finding out discrepancy in the tender documents, an prepare technical clarification letter to the Consultant.
· Preparation of budget estimate.
· Detailed and accurate quantity take off.
· Preparing sub-contract bid document.
· Technical and commercial evaluation of subcontract quotation and negotiation with subcontractors.
· Organize dealings with Department staff.
· Preparing material and manpower requirements
· Cost control of projects.
· Identify and prepare variations and monthly valuations for the projects.
· Verify sub-contact variation and payment certificates.
· Attending site visits and assessing site conditions for tenders.
Candidate Profile
· Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the preparation of estimates and Bills of Quantities for or Contract Administration of major civil, commercial, residential, high-rise buildings, and industrial projects.
· Vast Experience with reputable Contracting Companies in the UAE.
Experience in high-rise buildings is a must
· Knowledge of different methods of measurement and cost analysis.
· Excellent computer skills, able to work with standard software programs such as Excel, Word, MS Project, and estimating specific software.
· Thorough knowledge of contracts, able to identify and rectify contract deviations or deficiencies.
· Familiar with standard construction contract language, procedures, claims, and variations, correspondence.
· Excellent written communication skills.
· Ability to work with a diverse multi-cultural workforce.
· Must be flexible enough to fit into a site-based or Head Office-based team.
