Responsibilities
- Supervise, monitor and inspect all activities carried out by the Contractor on site
- Ensure materials and workmanship meet required quality levels
- Maintain regular records of actual work progress
- Report any issues that may trigger cost or time claims
- Liaise with the Contractor team in a fair and firm manner
- Adhere to HSE rules and ensure Contractor compliance
- Review and verify daily reports submitted by the Contractor
- Witness and supervise materials sampling and testing procedures
- Resolve daily site issues in coordination with the Resident Engineer
- Check and approve 'Day work' records
- Review and comment on Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports
- Attend site technical and progress meetings as directed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of total experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the UAE
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering consultancy
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and equipment
- Ability to read/interpret plans, specifications, and blueprints
- Keen eye for detecting construction errors
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to maintain accurate project records

Overview
- We are seeking a Civil Inspector to join our supervision team for our project in Abu Dhabi.
- The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure compliance with project quality, safety, and timeline requirements.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise, monitor and inspect all activities carried out by the Contractor on site in accordance with approved shop drawings, materials, method statements and ITPs.
- Ensure that the materials and workmanship of executed works on site meet the required levels of quality.
- Maintain regular records of actual work progress on site to assist review and evaluation of Contractor’s submitted interim payments.
- Make special notes and report on any issues on site that may trigger cost or time claims.
- Liaise with the Contractor team in a fair and firm manner.
- Adhere to the approved HSE rules and procedures on site and ensure Contractor’s team compliance.
- Review and verify the daily reports submitted by the Contractor and keep records.
- Witness and supervise materials sampling and testing procedures, and inspect delivered materials.
- Resolve daily generated site issues in coordination with the Resident Engineer.
- Check and approve the 'Day work’ records submitted by the Contractor.
- Review and comment on the Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports submitted by the Contractor.
- Attend site technical and progress meetings as directed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
