Role Overview
Bowman is hiring a Civil Engineer II to join its Mesa, Arizona team.
The role evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on moderately complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize civil design approaches for assigned phases of large land and site development projects.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
- Complete civil engineering designs and calculations using computer-aided software.
- Develop plans, specifications, reports, development applications, and response letters.
- Provide technical assistance through field investigations, inspections, design calculations, and computation reviews.
- Coordinate project work with senior engineers, clients, agencies, subcontractors, and other disciplines.
- Review plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.
- Review junior staff work for quality assurance.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field is required at the time of hire.
- Three or more years of civil engineering experience are required.
- Land and site development experience, including drainage and BMP design, is preferred.
- Experience with civil engineering design software such as Civil3D is required.
