This is an exciting opportunity to produce compliant designs associated with utilities and waste water treatment plants and networks. You'll work on diverse civil designs including duct routes and chambers, equipment bases, drainage, switchgear buildings, and upgrade work at combined sewer overflows, sewage treatment sites, and pumping stations. This role offers the chance to coordinate across multiple disciplines and contribute to sustainable design solutions in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As a Civil Design Engineer - Water, you'll be working within the team, supporting them in delivering compliant designs for utilities and waste water treatment infrastructure. Your day to day will include:
Producing civil designs compliant to relevant British and European standards and client specifications
Planning and coordinating assigned tasks, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
Collaborating with clients, designers, contractors and stakeholders to ensure effective communication
Ensuring all designs comply with regulations, industry standards and incorporate safe by design principles
Problem-solving technical and logistical challenges during design and construction phases

You have experience in utilities design and civil works for waste water treatment plants
You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly
You have experience working in multi-discipline engineering teams with a track record of achieving business targets
You're working towards professional membership with ICE, IMechE, IET or similar institution
