Position Overview
Milaha Ship Management is seeking an experienced
Chief Engineer
to join a
Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) / DP2 offshore vessel
equipped with
diesel-electric propulsion systems
.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the vessel’s engineering department, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all machinery and technical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the
- safe operation, maintenance, and repair
- of all engine room machinery and equipment.
- Manage and supervise the
- engine department personnel
- , ensuring effective task allocation and training.
- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of
- diesel-electric propulsion systems and auxiliary equipment
- .
- Maintain compliance with
- ISM Code, MARPOL, SOLAS, and company safety management systems
- .
- Implement and monitor the vessel’s
- planned maintenance system (PMS)
- .
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of
- DP-related machinery systems
- .
- Monitor fuel consumption, machinery performance, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate
- technical records, reports, and logbooks
- .
- Coordinate with the
- Master and shore-based technical team
- regarding technical operations and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all
- class, flag state, and regulatory requirements
- .
Requirements
- **National Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency – Unlimited (STCW Reg. III/2)**
- **Minimum 3 years of actual sea-time experience as Chief Engineer**
- Previous experience on
Psv And Dp2 Vessels
- preferred
- Strong knowledge and operational experience with
- diesel-electric propulsion systems
- Proven leadership skills managing
- multinational engineering teams
- Familiarity with
- planned maintenance systems (PMS) and offshore operational procedures
