Position Overview

Workplace

• This position is based on-site at one of the company's data center campuses.

Operations and Maintenance

• Oversee facility equipment and systems to support reliable 24/7/365 operations and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs for electrical distribution, emergency generators, UPS and battery systems, HVAC, BMS, fire prevention, and control equipment.
• Administer and refine preventive maintenance through the current CMMS program.
• Supervise subcontracted maintenance and repair projects and assess work performance.

Leadership and Procedures

• Lead assigned personnel and conduct performance appraisals, training plans, counseling, and mentoring.
• Develop manpower schedules, work methods, procedures, and performance standards for efficient operations.
• Develop, implement, and train staff on SOP, EOP, and MOP documentation.
• Maintain site training programs for technicians and other facility personnel.

Safety, Reliability, and Compliance

• Run the site industrial safety program in compliance with company, federal, state, and local requirements.
• Manage the site Lockout/Tagout program in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Maintain periodic operational testing schedules and quality assurance documentation.
• Maintain and improve the site reliability program and identify potential future problems.

Budget and Purchasing

• Prepare operating and repair budgets with Operations and Engineering Directors.
• Oversee purchasing of parts, equipment, and services within budget.
• Maintain adequate spare parts to support timely repairs.

Experience Requirements

• At least ten years of hands-on maintenance, repair, installation, or commissioning experience in mission-critical facilities or related industrial or engineering environments.
• At least two years of leadership or management experience involving project management, maintenance direction, deadlines, and staff development.
• Complete working knowledge of 2N data center or critical facility infrastructure, systems, operations, maintenance, and emergency response.

Additional Qualifications

• Strong technical writing experience creating, coordinating, updating, or modifying MOP, EOP, and SOP documentation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills for explaining infrastructure, engineering concepts, improvements, and emergency procedures.
• Experience developing budgets, capital investments, repair projects, and financial requests.
• Availability for long hours, weekends, rotating shifts, and on-call periods.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screen; travel up to 5% for training.
