Role Overview
An expanding four- and five-star hotel group based in Cyprus is seeking an experienced and qualified Chief Engineer.
The role supports hotel engineering, maintenance, reliable infrastructure, guest experience, and long-term property performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities across the property.
- Oversee MEP systems for safe and efficient building operations.
- Manage HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Supervise electrical and mechanical installations.
- Lead the engineering team and drive energy and utility management initiatives.
- Support renovation and refurbishment projects.
- Ensure health, safety, and technical compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a valid Mechanical Engineering License.
- Seven to ten years of engineering or maintenance experience, including hotel or resort operations.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC, refrigeration, MEP, electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance systems.
- Strong experience with preventive maintenance and energy and utilities management.
- Knowledge of health and safety compliance and renovation or refurbishment work.
- Experience working with Hotel General Managers and internal engineering teams.
- Business-fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in complex and large hotel environments.
- An additional relevant engineering or technical certification is preferred.
- Business-fluent Greek is advantageous but not essential.
