Responsibilities
- Serve as single technical authority for full avionics architecture across the platform
- Chair the Engineering Review Board
- Set redundancy philosophy and own FCS topology and voting logic
- Represent the programme to the certification authority on avionics specific technical matters
- Define architecture that supports certification now and accommodates future autonomous capability
- Start from first principles on a platform with novel distributed electric propulsion
Requirements
- Genuine fly by wire FCS architecture ownership on a certified civil aircraft programme
- Personal responsibility for topology, redundancy design, control law architecture inputs, and certification evidence
- Produced and defended DO 178C DAL A evidence to a civil certification authority
- Experience holding technical authority in certification meetings
- Civil certification exposure (military only background not suitable)

Role Overview
- Chief Engineer, Avionics and Flight Systems for a confidential eVTOL programme based in Dubai South.
