About the Role
UNICEF seeks a Chief Child Protection to lead child protection programmes in the Pacific Multi-Country Office based in Suva, Fiji. The role involves strategic planning, programme management, advocacy, and technical support to strengthen national child protection systems.

Responsibilities
- Manage and lead all stages of child protection programmes/projects from strategic planning to achieving sustainable contributions
- Lead and manage the child protection section and establish plans of action
- Provide managerial leadership, programme development and planning
- Oversee programme management, monitoring and quality control of results
- Provide advisory services and technical support
- Engage in advocacy, networking and partnership building
- Drive innovation, knowledge management and capacity building
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in International Law, Psychology, International Development, Human Rights, Sociology, Social Science, Justice or related field
- At least 10 years of international professional experience in child protection related areas, some at managerial level
- Proven experience in development and/or humanitarian settings
- Previous work experience in child protection in Small Island Developing States or Asia Pacific region
- Proven experience in donor relationships, resource mobilisation and complex grant management
- Fluency in English

Minimum Requirements

- Fluency in English
Desirables
- Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language
- Relevant experience in CPD development, UN cluster coordination and UN joint programmes on child protection
- Child safeguarding training and leading negotiations with inter governmental bodies such as ASEAN, PIFS
