Chief Accountant

Position Details

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 10 years of work experience.
• Reporting and analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, leadership qualities, and strong organizational skills.
• HSSE or job-related training.

Technical Knowledge and Expertise

• Technical accounting skills and accounting software knowledge.
• Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Performance monitoring capability.

Primary Functions

• Lead the Finance Shared Services Center in KSA and manage, mentor, and motivate the finance team.
• Set department objectives and oversee financial and management accounting for all KSA entities.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing, reporting, payments, receipts, invoicing, agreements, bank controls, reconciliations, cash, and operating cash flow.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, management accounts, and financial reports in accordance with IFRS and group reporting requirements.
• Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other financial activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulations, tax submissions, local content requirements, and group reporting systems.
• Review actuarial valuations and liaise with auditors for timely financial and tax audits.

HSE Requirements

• Comply with applicable legal requirements, Bureau Veritas KSA HSE policies, client procedures, and codes of practice.
• Keep work areas tidy and hazard-free, report incidents or near hits, and cooperate with investigations.
• Communicate unsafe practices or conditions and respect personal and others’ health and safety.
