Role Purpose

Ensure manufactured products meet PepsiCo and regulatory standards for specifications and food safety.

Prevent nonconforming finished products, ingredients, packaging materials, and raw materials from being released.

Quality and Laboratory Testing

  • Analyze finished products, incoming raw materials, and packaging materials daily.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations and review product and packaging performance.
  • Monitor production analysis and record results in SPC systems.
  • Participate in market evaluations, proficiency testing, and complaint investigations.

Food Safety and Compliance

  • Support regulatory inspections and address related issues and concerns.
  • Monitor GMP compliance and participate in food safety audits.
  • Implement IPS, food safety, laboratory, quality, and EHS standards.
  • Initiate holds, releases, rejections, inspections, and CAPA for nonconformities.

Laboratory and Shift Operations

  • Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration status, housekeeping, and safe working conditions.
  • Manage shift activities independently and communicate quality results to relevant functions.
  • Train colleagues and share knowledge gained through internal and external training.
  • Verify production and warehouse quality concerns and communicate results.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's science degree; Chemistry or Food Science is preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong computer skills with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to analyze data and communicate effectively across functions.
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a team, with self-motivation and initiative.

Preferred Experience

  • New graduates may apply.
  • Experience as a chemist in a food manufacturing plant is preferred.
  • Knowledge of current laboratory instruments and quality systems such as ISO is preferred.
