Job Summary
Lead pastry staff while personally performing creative baking, decorating, and food preparation tasks.
Improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining operating budgets and culinary standards.
Lead staff development and training and ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED plus four years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or a related professional area.
- Alternatively, a two-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major plus two years of relevant experience.
Leading Pastry Culinary Team
- Supervise and manage employees and oversee day-to-day operations.
- Lead shifts while personally preparing food items and executing requests to specifications.
- Supervise and coordinate cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
- Build trust, cooperation, and open communication among team members.
- Maintain employee productivity and address employee concerns.
