Certified Technical Safety Trainer (Part Time) - NSS

• Deliver safety and technical training programs across Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) and Stennis Space Center (SSC)
• Support NCCER certification and safety training initiatives
• Provide instruction for light and heavy equipment operations training programs
• Conduct specialized safety training in support of regulatory and operational requirements
• Support departmental safety training needs and workforce readiness
• Coordinate with industry partners and internal departments regarding training requirements and standards
• Promote safe work practices and compliance with applicable safety procedures and standards

• Associate degree OR minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial, construction, or safety-related environments
• Background in industrial plant operations, construction, safety, or equipment operations training
• Current Train-the-Trainer certification
• Current Forklift and Aerial Lift certifications within the last 3 years
• NCCER Core Instructor certification
• Rigging certification
• Heavy Equipment certifications
• 3–5 years of experience delivering safety and heavy/light equipment operations training
• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain additional certifications as required
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required NASA site access and credentials

• Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment, and view a computer screen for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 poundsAbility to stand, sit, reach, bend, climb, crawl, and push/pull as required
