Description

Association Headquarters is a trusted association management company that specializes in helping non-profit organizations fulfill their missions, drive member value, and elevate their industries. Our expert teams deliver tailored support in strategic planning, technology assessments, website development, database integration, accounting, HR, non-dues revenue, marketing, meetings, and events. Every solution is designed with one goal: helping your organization achieve measurable success.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

To be considered for this position, the online application must be submitted, along with an updated resume. All applicable fields on the application are required.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) holds executive authority over our clients long-term vision, brand capitalization, digital growth strategies, and macro-fiscal well-being. Serving as the primary strategic partner to the Board of Directors, the CEO establishes the vision, dictates the corporate reporting architecture, and defines accountability standards. Unlike the Chief Operations Officer (COO), who directs daily operational maintenance and tactical task execution, the CEO focuses on market expansion, human capital optimization, pipeline automation, and driving high-velocity strategic growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Strategic Governance & High-Level Board Stewardship

Strategic Deliberation Steering: Lead the Board of Directors to maintain an exclusive focus on forward-looking growth, governance, and long-term vision, while overseeing the tactical and operational delivery through the staff.

Decision-Ready Architecture: Establish and enforce a disciplined reporting framework with concise executive summaries that isolate business contexts and required actions and motions.

Macro-Financial Oversight: Direct the transformation of traditional financial reporting into visual, strategic financial dashboards that provide the Board with immediate clarity on the health of investments and reserves.

Pre-Meeting Operational Closure: Accountable for ensuring all committee frameworks, motion compliance, and policy parameters are finalized by staff prior to board sessions.

Assist board Chair in delivering meetings that focus on active strategic stewardship.

2. Technology Architecture, Scaling & Automation Strategy

Technical Integration Strategy: With a newly established core database and web ecosystem, set, deliver, and track high-level performance metrics to support the board’s strategic plan and ensure long-term scalability and revenue protection.

Workflow Automation Leadership: Identify, evaluate, and authorize enterprise platforms, specifically targeting project management synchronization, automated abstract processes, and application tracking automation, to structurally elevate and automate data delivery across the organization.

Capital Asset Protection: Set macro policies for intellectual property, brand usage guidelines, and credential security to scale the market value of core programs.

3. Human Capital Mobilization & Organizational Alignment

Cross-Functional Workforce Design: Structure, deploy, and mobilize staff resources into collaborative, non-siloed frameworks, breaking down any legacy communication barriers and establishing clear paths of individual accountability.

Professional Development Strategy: Design, implement, and track professional development programs and leadership pipelines, ensuring the staff has the technical and strategic skills to drive the organization forward.

Executive Oversight: Directly supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of senior client management, ensuring operational execution matches the Board's strategic targets.

4. Market Expansion & Revenue Velocity

Revenue Growth Acceleration: Formulate and drive data-backed product development, employer outreach campaigns, and membership growth metrics to expand credentialing revenue tracks.

Macro-Budgetary Control: Authorize and recommend the annual corporate operating budget to the Board, ensuring high-level resource allocation maximizes return on technical and brand investments.

Requirements

  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Executive Transformation Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive association management, healthcare, or certification sector leadership required. Must demonstrate a proven track record of shifting a legacy board from operational management to strategic stewardship.
  • Proven Technological Fluency: Verifiable history of successfully leading organizations through system transformations, deploying automated enterprise architectures, and replacing manual workflows.
  • Visionary People Leadership: Proven ability to transition a siloed workplace culture into an integrated, cross-trained, and highly accountable workforce.
  • Educational & Professional Credentials: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required; Certified Association Executive (CAE) preferred
