Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Execute customs and trade compliance plans and processes to optimize service and cost performance.
• Plan and direct air and surface traffic flows to support timely customs clearance.
• Monitor shipments, validity dates, debits, duties, and tariffs at government institutions.
• Execute customs entries, categorize goods, and complete customs security filings.
• Complete post-clearance modifications and maintain inbound and outbound documentation.
• Calculate duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and merchandise volume.
• Support pricing, margins, bids, RFQs, and customer presentations.
• Resolve customer escalations and disputes and advise customers on customs topics.
• Track regulatory changes and maintain compliance with import/export legislation.
• Obtain permits, licenses, and certificates required for customs clearance.
• Collaborate with customs authorities and government bodies.
• Develop workflow models and quality standards to improve customs effectiveness and control costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or qualification.
• More than four years of experience.
• Knowledge of customs clearance, trade compliance, and import/export control requirements.
• Ability to manage customs documentation, permits, licenses, certificates, and regulatory records.
