- Plan and place purchase orders while managing supplier lead times
- Build and maintain strong relationships with supplier partners
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop competitive pricing strategies and promotional plans
- Negotiate and review customer contracts annually
- Partner with sales team to improve in store execution through market visits
- Analyze EPOS data and provide actionable insights on consumer behavior and sales performance
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members
- Develop strategic launch plans for new products and exit strategies for underperforming products
Requirements
- Proven experience as Category Manager or similar role, preferably within the Household/FMCG sector
- Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles
- Strong commercial mindset with understanding of sales drivers, margins, and profitability
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- BSc/BA in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Category Manager – Household to lead category growth, profitability, supplier partnerships, and strategic product portfolio management within the Household category.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing category strategies, driving revenue and margin performance, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring optimal product availability while delivering sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for category budget development and revenue growth through detailed analysis of historical purchasing patterns and market trends.
- Develop and execute category strategies that support sales growth, profitability, and long term business sustainability.
- Lead A&P (Advertising & Promotion) negotiations and spend management with suppliers, ensuring effective allocation of budgets across marketing initiatives while monitoring ROI and performance.
- Forecast product demand accurately to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure business continuity.
- Plan and place purchase orders while proactively managing supplier lead times to guarantee timely product availability.
- Build and maintain strong, trust based relationships with supplier partners to secure competitive pricing, improved service levels, and business support.
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop competitive pricing strategies and promotional plans for assigned product categories.
- Negotiate and review customer contracts annually in accordance with established company processes and policies.
- Partner closely with the sales team to improve in store execution and implementation through regular market and store visits.
- Analyze EPOS data and provide actionable insights on consumer behavior, sales performance, and market trends to support business decisions.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members, particularly direct reports, throughout the performance management cycle.
- Work with existing suppliers to expand current product categories and identify new supplier opportunities.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience as Category Manager or similar role, preferably within the Household/FMCG sector.
- Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles.
- Strong commercial mindset with a clear understanding of sales drivers, margins, and profitability.
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective supplier and cross functional relationships.
- BSc/BA in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Pay
- QAR16,000.00 QAR18,000.00 per month
