Role Description
The Category Manager will manage category performance, product portfolios, and business growth initiatives.
The role develops category strategies, analyzes market trends and customer needs, optimizes assortments, and works with internal and external stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category plans and strategies.
- Manage product selection and assortment.
- Monitor sales, profitability, and category performance.
- Analyze market and competitor activity and identify growth opportunities.
- Work with suppliers, sales, marketing, merchandising, and operations teams.
- Support product positioning, pricing, promotions, inventory planning, and category execution.
- Evaluate supplier performance and support commercial negotiations.
- Prepare regular business and category reports.
Required Capabilities
- Use market insights, sales data, customer feedback, and competitive analysis to make informed decisions.
- Demonstrate commercial awareness, analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management.
- Translate business objectives into actionable category strategies and plans.
- Manage multiple priorities with strong organization, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving.
