About The Role
: The role involves strategic planning and execution of product assortment for the FMCG & Fresh categories, focusing on optimizing product mix and supplier relations for Discount stores.
Experience in Deep Discount stores in KSA or the GCC region is required

Responsibilities
- :
- Strategically plan and execute the product mix for the FMCG & Fresh categories for the Discount store concept.
- Identify high-performing products and develop "exit strategies" for underperforming or less profitable items.
- Maintain an "assortment mix" to ensure the right balance of brand-name and private-label products, as well as new brands.
- Establish and maintain long-term partnerships with direct distributors and wholesalers to secure the best pricing and quality.
- Lead complex negotiations regarding vendor terms and promotions.
- Continuously source new suppliers both domestically and internationally to drive innovation and cost savings.
- Set competitive retail prices and markdowns to achieve budgeted gross profit margins while maintaining a "discount" value proposition.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market trends daily to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Develop and manage the yearly category budget, sales targets, and revenue goals.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to design and execute promotional calendars and in-store marketing materials.
- Optimize in-store product visibility through planograms, shelf layouts, and effective visual merchandising (e.g., brand blocking, signage).
Qualifications
: Relevant educational background in business, marketing, or a related field.

- Proficiency in market analysis and pricing strategies.
- Experience in supplier management and relationship building.
Preferred Skills
- :
- Experience in the Retail FMCG sector in discount stores only.
