About the Role

Job Purpose
- To ensure that efficient services are provided to customers at the checkout counters.
- Ensure safety and security on transacting with cash and other valuables (Gift cards, Recharge cards, etc.).
- To ensure proper and correct registering of transactions in POS Point of Sale system.
Key Dimensions and Related Job Results
- Proper registering of transactions through POS system by handling cash and valuables and operating/registering transactions (physical/electronic) in various modes with no discrepancy in the transaction.
- Provide direct and indirect customer service (ex: handling customer goods and bagging, assisting in other instructed store activities, maintaining cleanliness & orderliness at checkouts).
- Ensure proper usage of POS systems, Bank POS other equipment at checkout with care and diligence.
- Contribute towards store sales through suggestive selling and upselling.
- Standard cashiering procedure, register online/home delivery sales transactions and coordinate with deliveries as per requirement, online picking for home deliveries as and when required by supervisor.
- Follow company SOPs and policies and ensure compliance and awareness towards instore activities.
- Avoiding expiry and ensure timely action on short expiry stock.
Minimum Qualifications/Education/Experience/Training/Knowledge
- A minimum of HSE with an aptitude for the role or SSC with minimum of 1 year experience in the front end of a service sector company.
- Good communication skills in English language. Basic reading & writing in English is a must.
