- High level of honesty, trustworthiness, and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and remain calm during peak hours
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Job Objective
- The Cashier is responsible for managing all cash and electronic transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service.
- This role serves as the final point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive, smooth, and professional checkout experience that reflects the company's values.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Process cash, credit/debit card, and digital wallet transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system; issue receipts, refunds, and correct change.
- Welcome customers warmly upon arrival at the checkout counter, answer basic inquiries, and ensure a friendly, polite interaction.
- Count and verify the cash float at the beginning of the shift; balance and reconcile the cash drawer against system reports at the end of the shift to ensure zero discrepancies.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies such as receipt paper, shopping bags, and promotional materials.
- Handle product returns and exchanges efficiently in accordance with the company’s policies.
- Inform customers about ongoing discounts, loyalty programs, or upcoming store promotions to drive engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (a diploma or degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus).
- Proven experience as a Cashier, Retail Associate, or in a similar customer facing role is preferred (entry level candidates with strong skills may be considered).
- Familiarity with electronic equipment, cash registers, barcode scanners, and modern POS software.
