Description
ATCO Frontec is seeking a Carpenter to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Edmonton, Alberta , contingent on ATCO winning a proposed project . Opportunities may also be available in Calgary, Alberta. The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, repairs, restores, and installs structural wood/steel work and related materials.
Responsibilities
- Structural inspections of the building envelope
- Door systems and rekeying - installs locks, doorknobs, and other building hardware
- General repair work including but not limited to, maintaining doors, floors, windows, partitions, ceilings, and exteriors of buildings; builds and installs door and window framing
- Construction and renovation work, roofing, crawl spaces
- Build wooden/steel structures such as partitions, building, office additions, does sheeting and rough carpentry on the buildings as well as final finishes
- Perform hand and bench work in carpentry work shop; operate planers, joiners, drill presses, power saws, sanders, and other woodworking machinery
- Repair and maintain hand tools, saws, and other carpentry tools
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A Red Seal and Certificate in Carpentry is an asset.
