Responsibilities
- Perform Electrocardiogram (ECG) on adult and pediatric patients
- Perform full 2D Echo study views and measurements in adult patients
- Assist pediatric Echo procedures
- Perform stress tests, monitoring patient's heart during exercise on treadmill
- Administer Holter monitoring tests and analyze data
- Prepare, assess, and provide patient care for stress test patients
- Apply ambulatory blood pressure monitor and explain procedure to patient
- Report urgent abnormal heart rhythms to attending cardiologist
- Screen artifacts in Holter monitoring and capture heart rate data
- Maintain competence in ECG, Holter, ambulatory blood pressure monitor, and stress test based on evidence based practice
- Participate in task forces and complete work related assignments
- Maintain safe environment and implement infection control procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science in cardiovascular technology or Bachelor of Science in Nursing with relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Certified by Saudi Council
- Knowledge of normal and abnormal heart rhythms
- Ability to work different shifts

Job Summary
- Cardiovascular technologists must be able to perform ECG, 2DEcho, Holter monitoring, exercise stress test, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
Primary Responsibilities
- Properly place ECG on adult and pediatric patients and perform full 2D Echo study views and measurements in adult patients.
- Assist pediatric Echo procedures.
- Perform stress tests, monitoring patient's heart while exercising on treadmill.
- Administer Holter monitoring tests and print out data.
- Prepare, assess, and provide patient care for stress test patients.
- Provide patients with exercise regimens prescribed by doctors.
- Obtain patient's medical history, record blood pressure, and explain procedures.
- Respond to cardiac emergencies.
- Apply ambulatory blood pressure monitor and explain to patient.
- Know normal and abnormal heart rhythms and report urgent abnormalities.
- Screen artifacts in Holter monitoring and capture heart rate data.
- Maintain competence based on evidence based practice guided by American Heart Association.
Education / Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science in cardiovascular technologist or Bachelor of Science in Nursing with experience in Stress Test, ECG, Holter, and ambulatory blood pressure.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Certified by Saudi Council.
- Professional Certification (Optional): ECG certificate.
