Role Overview
Whether it's a hearty breakfast or a freshly brewed coffee and a slice of cake, our Cafés are proud to serve hundreds of local customers every day.
Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you’ll bring a proactive approach to running a welcoming, vibrant Café. You'll lead your team to deliver outstanding service, keep stock availability high, and make sure every customer leaves happy.
In this role, you’ll be on hand to:
Put customers first: Empower your team to deliver friendly, attentive service, listening to customer feedback to make sure our Café is always a warm, welcoming place to pop by.
Lead and support your team: Manage shift rotas, attendance, and talent development, delivering training so colleagues have the confidence to succeed and grow.
Drive performance and standards: Lead an encouraging, performance-driven department, guiding colleagues to work with purpose against all operational and sales targets.
Keep operations running smoothly: Plan resources thoroughly, manage daily team routines, and build strong working relationships with other store departments.

Whether your background is in hospitality, retail, leisure, or travel, if you care about great service and bringing out the best in people, you'll fit right in with us.
You'll be the kind of person who:
Leads with confidence : Has experience leading and supporting a team in a fast-paced food or hospitality environment, confidently running shifts and handling daily priorities.
Builds strong, supportive teams : Communicates naturally, shares knowledge, and deals with everyday challenges calmly to keep the team working well together.
Listens and adapts : Active listener who acts on customer and colleague feedback to make things better every shift, staying open and flexible to new ways of working.
Keeps a firm grip on the basics : Takes a practical approach to managing department routines, keeping a close eye on food safety, waste, and stock availability.
Steps up: Is confident to step up as Manager in Charge when needed in the store.
