Role Overview
At Morrisons Pharmacy, helping our customers look after their health and wellbeing is just natural for us. As an Accuracy Checking Technician, you’ll work alongside our Pharmacists to deliver the final accuracy checks on prescriptions, ensuring our local shoppers receive safe, compassionate, and confidential care.
Reporting directly to the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist, you'll support daily operations, lend a hand to local surgery queries, and help deliver a wide range of essential health services for our community.
In this role, you’ll be on hand to:
Put customers first: Provide a warm, friendly, and confidential service, handling over-the-counter sales and answering queries with real care and compassion.
Ensure dispensing accuracy: Perform final accuracy checks on medications once clinically approved by the Pharmacist, carefully dispensing and handing out prescription items.
Support local health services: Deliver a wide range of helpful pharmacy services, collaborating with local surgeries and team colleagues to resolve queries quickly.
Keep operations safe and legal: Maintain full compliance with pharmacy procedures, promptly report dispensing errors or near misses, and keep your professional skills sharp inline with GPhC expectations.

More about you
We're looking for dedicated, qualified technicians who want to bring their expertise to a supportive store environment while making a genuine difference to community health.
You'll be the kind of person who has:
Approved pharmacy qualifications : Completed an approved Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant course (such as the NPA DAC), and completed - or committed to enrolling on - an approved Pharmacy Technician / Accuracy Checking qualification (like the BTEC Diploma Level 3).
GPhC registration progress : Registered (or actively working towards registration) as a practicing Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
A caring attitude : Shows real care and compassion for customers, with an enthusiastic attitude toward delivering pharmacy services, supporting team goals, and using initiative to resolve queries comfortably and efficiently.
Flexibility for our community : Happy working flexible shifts, including weekends where needed, to keep the pharmacy running smoothly for local shoppers.
