Casual Café All-Rounder / Barista – Little Things Café Blackburn
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Café All-Rounder / Barista to join our team at Little Things Café Blackburn.
The role includes a regular Thursday shift , with additional casual shifts available across the week, typically 4–7 hours per shift , depending on business needs.
We are ideally looking for someone who is flexible and available to support additional shifts, changes to hours or days, and occasional fill-in shifts when required.
Strong barista skills, a positive attitude, reliability and the ability to work well as part of a team are highly valued.
What you’ll do
• Prepare and serve quality coffee and café beverages, with solid barista skills required for the role
• Deliver warm, attentive customer service, including table service
• Use the POS system to take orders and process payments
• Assist with food preparation, including sandwiches, simple kitchen prep and other all-rounder duties
• Support kitchen operations including dishwashing, cleaning and restocking
• Help with end-of-day closing, pack-down and maintaining a clean, organised café
About you
• Strong barista skills and experience preparing consistently high-quality coffee, with the ability to assist with basic kitchen preparation and food service
• Confident in customer service and creating a welcoming environment
• Reliable, organised and comfortable in a fast-paced setting
• Willing to be hands-on across coffee making, service, kitchen prep, cleaning and occasional shifts at either café when needed
• Positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team
