About the Role
Etihad Airways offers a two-year Cadet Technician Programme for UAE Nationals to become Licensed Aircraft Technicians. The programme combines theoretical training and on-the-job experience, leading to a GCAA CAT A license.

- Complete GCAA approved training syllabus and programme requirements
- Maintain overall 75% pass rate on all module exams
- Complete on the job training within assigned timeline post theory qualification
- Diligently execute and complete Schedule of Work (logbook) with assigned tasks
- Attend and pass scheduled mandatory training in accordance with Etihad Airways Policy
- Participate and pass Technical staff competency assessments
- Ensure all work performed is done safely in conformance with company procedures and GCAA regulations

- UAE national with a valid family book
- Between 18 and 29 years old
- High school certificate or equivalent, including Maths/Physics/Science with 60% overall score
- Strong command of English language
- Completed or permanently exempted from UAE National Service (males only)
- Willing to work shifts, including nights
- Flexible about working outdoors

Programme Overview
- Two year training and development programme designed to launch aviation career and prepare for progression to Licensed Aircraft Technician.
- Combination of theoretical knowledge and on the job training providing practical experience in aircraft maintenance across a range of aircraft types.
Qualifications
- UAE national with a valid family book.
- Between 18 and 29 years old.
- High school certificate or equivalent, including Maths/Physics/Science with 60% overall score.
- Strong command of English language.
- Completed or permanently exempted from UAE National Service (males only).
- Willing to work shifts, including nights.
- Flexible about working outdoors.
Accountabilities
- Complete GCAA approved training syllabus and programme requirements.

- Comply with performance requirements set by GCAA, Training Institute and the Company.
- Complete on the job training within assigned timeline post theory qualification.
- Diligently execute and complete Schedule of Work (logbook) with assigned tasks.
- Successfully attend and pass scheduled mandatory training.
- Participate and successfully pass Technical staff competency assessments.
- Ensure all work performed is done safely in conformance with company procedures and GCAA regulations.
- Carry out work in compliance with company, health and safety and airport procedures.
- Keep updated with applicable regulation amendments, company procedures and latest maintenance best practices.
