Role Overview
Buyer responsible for day-to-day purchasing activities for assigned categories.
The role supports product availability, cost efficiency, commercial compliance, category growth, and competitive assortment management.
Purchasing Responsibilities
- Execute category purchasing activities for assigned products in line with approved buying plans.
- Analyze sales performance, demand forecasts, and stock levels to optimize order quantities.
- Coordinate suppliers on pricing, availability, lead times, and order confirmations.
- Prepare and process purchase orders within approved budgets and systems.
- Monitor supplier quality, delivery, and service performance.
- Support pricing, commercial-term, and promotion negotiations under Category Manager guidance.
Collaboration and Compliance
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Operations stakeholders.
- Review product listings, specifications, and documentation for company standards, regulatory requirements, and private-label guidelines.
- Track market trends, competitor pricing, and sourcing opportunities to inform category growth and sourcing strategies.
Requirements
- Ability to execute purchasing activities for assigned product categories while meeting availability, cost, and approved buying-plan objectives.
- Ability to coordinate suppliers, process purchase orders, and monitor delivery, quality, and service performance.
- Ability to analyze sales performance, demand forecasts, and stock levels to support ordering decisions.
- Ability to collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Operations stakeholders.
