Job Purpose
Gather evidence relating to active investigations.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct the Fraud Investigation Program.
- Adhere to the Investigation Manual during all stages of an investigation.
- Prepare working papers documenting investigations and supporting evidence for forensic findings.
- Analyze data to provide insight for investigations where applicable.
- Interview suspects and witnesses professionally to obtain information based on identified evidence.
- Prepare clear reports supported by evidence that summarize conclusions, findings, and recommendations on disciplinary action and control enhancements.
Other Responsibilities
- Keep organized files for all cases.
- Stay abreast of new developments in the field and the law.
- Assist with special projects assigned by the Investigation Supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- A university degree from a recognized university.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in internal audit and fraud investigations.
- Experience in the retail sector is preferred.
Key Competencies
- Data analytics, reporting, communication, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
