As a Buyer I, you will drive material availability and supply continuity to support production and customer demands. By effectively managing supplier relationships, executing purchasing strategies, and maintaining inventory integrity, you will help minimize risk, reduce costs, and ensure operational success across the manufacturing environment.
Execute and manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure material availability for production requirements.
Participate in production loading decisions through proper material sizing and planning.
Monitor and maintain material pipelines to support Master Production Schedule (MPS) requirements.
Identify, communicate, and resolve material supply issues that could impact production.
Issue purchase orders in accordance with negotiated pricing, terms, and supplier agreements.
Optimize supplier communications and order management processes.
Maintain purchasing master data and planning parameters to balance inventory investment and procurement costs.
Monitor supplier delivery, quality, and service performance metrics.
Drive corrective actions and resolution of supplier quality and delivery issues.
Minimize material liability by understanding ownership and executing supplier agreements effectively.
Support Accounts Payable with invoice discrepancy resolution.
Collaborate with Commodity Managers, Buyers, and Supply Chain teams to support sourcing and commodity strategies.
Track supplier performance and provide data-driven feedback to internal stakeholders.
Minimize material freight expenses while meeting production requirements.
Ensure compliance with all company safety, quality, and security policies.

High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, materials planning, inventory control, or supply chain operations preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
Experience managing supplier relationships and purchase orders preferred.
