The Business Operations Manager will lead the operational build-out of Wahed’s UAE wealth-management platform.
This hands-on, high-ownership role owns operational delivery and builds processes, controls, and an operating model for scalable growth.
The role works with Investments and Operations teams and has direct exposure to strategy-setting stakeholders.
Business Operations
- Oversee UAE day-to-day operations and overall business performance.
- Track customer acquisition, funded customers, assets under management, revenue, product usage, and operational performance.
- Coordinate KYC, onboarding, deposits, withdrawals, trading, portfolio management, reconciliations, and customer support.
- Identify issues, coordinate relevant teams, and ensure resolution within agreed timelines.
Product, Growth, and Partnerships
- Work with Product and Technology to improve the UAE customer journey, localize products, and implement features.
- Coordinate local campaigns, partnerships, events, customer communications, and growth initiatives with Marketing.
- Identify and onboard vendors and commercial partners through due diligence, contracting, implementation, and approvals.
- Manage vendor performance, costs, service levels, and contractual obligations.
- Support negotiations with vendors and partners.
Governance and Reporting
- Work with Legal, Risk, and Compliance to meet regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Support management, governance, and regulatory reports.
- Coordinate cross-functional UAE projects with clear ownership, timelines, and follow-up.
- Monitor customer feedback and operational data to improve customer experience and business performance.
- Represent Wahed with vendors, partners, and relevant stakeholders.
- Update senior management on financial performance, operational matters, risks, vendors, and growth initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Operations, or a related field.
- Approximately 4–7 years of experience in business operations, financial services, fintech, investments, consulting, or a similar environment.
- Experience across multiple business functions and operational or commercial project management.
- Strong understanding of financials, budgets, and P&L performance.
- Experience managing vendors, external partners, or service providers.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical and commercially minded approach with strong data-use capability.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, international, highly regulated environment.
- UAE financial services or fintech market knowledge is strongly preferred.
- Digital investment, KYC, trading, or investment operations experience is advantageous.
- Understanding of Shariah-compliant investing or willingness to develop this knowledge is required.
Role Impact
The role is central to efficient operation and growth of Wahed’s UAE business.
The successful candidate will contribute directly to developing one of Wahed’s key international markets.
