Business Development Representative

Stakeholder Alignment and Sales Support

• Align prospecting activity with territory plans, named accounts, and pipeline priorities.
• Prepare prospecting notes, meeting context, and account intelligence for sales handover.
• Participate in sales and marketing alignment meetings.
• Represent ACI Worldwide professionally in early-stage prospect conversations and position solutions at a high level.

Systems, Reporting, and Data Quality

• Maintain accurate CRM records for accounts, contacts, activities, lead status, meeting outcomes, and handover notes.
• Track outreach, conversations, meetings, qualified leads, response rates, and opportunity progression.
• Update contact details, account intelligence, lead disposition, and campaign attribution accurately.
• Provide progress, blocker, and recommended next-step updates to management, sales, and marketing stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Three or more years of relevant sales, business development, lead generation, customer-facing sales support, or business-to-business marketing experience; equivalent early-career experience may be considered.
• Experience or strong interest in enterprise software, financial services, fintech, payments technology, banking, merchant commerce, or business-to-business technology sales.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to conduct account and contact research and translate findings into targeted outreach.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple follow-up activities and deadlines.
• Comfort using CRM systems, sales engagement tools, LinkedIn, Microsoft Office, and digital collaboration platforms.
• Comfort making cold calls for initial prospect outreach.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to connect business challenges and early-stage prospect conversations to relevant solution areas at a high level.
• Persistence, professionalism, and discipline in executing outreach cadences and documenting activity.
• Ability to collaborate across sales, field marketing, campaign marketing, inside sales, and regional leadership.
• Ability to prioritize named accounts, high-value leads, and time-sensitive campaign follow-up.
• Comfort working in a target-oriented environment with measurable activity, meeting, and qualification goals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting field marketing campaigns, account-based marketing programs, or event follow-up is preferred.
• Experience prospecting into banks, financial institutions, fintechs, retailers, merchants, or enterprise technology accounts is preferred.
• Familiarity with payments, real-time payments, fraud prevention, merchant acquiring, digital banking, or enterprise payments infrastructure is preferred.
• Experience with sales engagement, prospecting, data enrichment, or marketing automation tools is preferred.
• Additional regional language skills relevant to the target market are advantageous but not mandatory.
