Business Development Manager

Position Description

Key Responsibilities

• New Business Development
• Identify target customers, building an information system to identify new opportunities, developing the presentational materials and establishing budgets and timelines.
• Develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with company objectives.
• Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, cold outreach, industry events, and market research.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts and convert leads in the pipeline into profitable long term customer relationships.
• Consistently achieve and exceed agreed sales and revenue targets.
• Client Relationship Management
• Develop strong relationships with customer key decision makers, acting as a trusted advisor to understand customer needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Conduct regular client meetings, site visits and presentations.
• Identify opportunities to upsell additional products or services such as aftermarket servicing and controls.
• Maintain excellent customer service, ensure customer satisfaction and support long term account retention.
• Sales Strategy & Market Development
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and future customer requirements the DC sector.
• Identify emerging opportunities within target sectors and geographical regions.
