AMIT seeks a Business Development Manager to identify new markets and clients within the marine safety and communication sector. The role involves developing strategic plans, building client relationships, preparing proposals, and achieving revenue targets.

Responsibilities
- Identify new markets, business opportunities, and potential clients within the marine safety and communication market.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets.
- Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Build and maintain strong, long term relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and business pitches to prospective clients.
- Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly/annual revenue targets.
- Negotiate and close business deals while ensuring profitability.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support lead nurturing and conversions.
- Work closely with operations, finance, product, and marketing teams to deliver client requirements.
- Communicate client feedback to internal teams for product & service improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipelines, and client interactions.
- Prepare periodic business development reports and forecasts for management review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any field; Master’s degree in Business Administration is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of marine navigation equipment and integrated bridge systems for commercial vessels, offshore vessels, rigs, and workboats.
- Familiarity with radar, ECDIS, GPS/GNSS, AIS, gyro compass, autopilot, echo sounder, speed log, and voyage data recorder (VDR).
- Knowledge of marine internal communication systems for ships, offshore platforms, and rigs.
- Experience with PABX/telephone systems, PA/GA systems, talk back systems, sound powered telephones, intercom systems, and alarm monitoring solutions.
- Knowledge of marine CCTV systems, thermal cameras, access control, vessel security systems, and automation/integration solutions.
- Understanding of VTS architecture, coastal surveillance systems, radar integration, AIS networks, meteorological sensors, and command and control solutions.
- Knowledge of PMR communication solutions, including analog and digital radio systems (DMR, TETRA, P25), repeaters, dispatch systems, and marine communication networks.
- Strong customer relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify business opportunities and develop strategic accounts.
- Experience preparing technical and commercial proposals, tenders, and project quotations.
