Location and Compensation

  • The role is based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and is explicitly onsite.
  • Starting salary is CAD 41.18 per hour.
  • The position is in the Maintenance branch and is unionized under IAMAW.

Role Focus

The role supports airline maintenance operations through data analysis, reporting, KPI management, and process improvement.

Advanced Excel proficiency and the ability to analyze complex datasets are essential.

Key Duties

  • Retrieve and analyze large datasets using Excel, SQL, and other data management systems.
  • Design and implement reporting solutions for business management and decision-making.
  • Own reporting processes and resolve data discrepancies while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Build and manage KPIs to measure, control, and benchmark reporting processes.
  • Monitor existing metrics and create new metrics to identify process and system improvements.
  • Support cross-functional teams with day-to-day program implementation.
  • Generate complex queries to investigate process issues and innovate customer experience improvements.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience with Excel features including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, and Power Pivot, plus data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience defining requirements, using metrics for business insights, and making recommendations that influence stakeholders.
  • Experience with SQL for data extraction.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • At least three years of experience as a business analyst, data analyst, or in a similar role.
  • Experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
  • Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling.
  • Fluency in Python or R and experience with statistical modeling tools.
  • Punctuality and dependability in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bilingual candidates are preferred when qualifications are otherwise equal.
