Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy • Aspire is a multi-year strategic investment programme to transform GCFO into a modern, globally consistent organisation with skills, capabilities and jobs that match competitor banks. The programme is responsible to develop and implement the GCFO strategy to deliver the GCFO Change agenda and Aspire programme into the bank and ensure the target business benefits are realised. • The Sub-Ledger programme is responsible to define, configure, and realise the capabilities, processes, and controls to support the following processes, and to articulate the data and data quality standards required to enable these processes in addition to the core data flows and processing: Accounting Rules; Reconciliation between sub-ledger and source system, Substantiation; New business (new product end to end accounting), Product Control processes (Daily PNL, IPV, Sales DB etc.).
  • Sub-Ledger team member is involved in the following: • All stages of change programme lifecycle, from initiation and design to post-implementation • Design TP data integration into Sub-Ledger to support Finance requirements • Implement end-to-end integration controls
  • Business • Link between Business teams and technology partners in ensuring delivery supports Business requirements. • Performs systems and user acceptance testing
  • Processes • Understands how to configure SAP enrichment logic and mapping tables to achieve desired accounting outcome

Skills and Experience

  • Data Analytical Skills (includes SQL) • Investment banking experience (finance or product control experience preferred) • Strong self-starter with minimal need for guidance/supervision • Detailed understanding of banking IT systems, including trade processing workflows, from trade booking to GL entries is essential • Data Analytical Skills (includes SQL) • Investment banking experience (finance or product control experience preferred) • Strong self-starter with minimal need for guidance/supervision

Qualifications

  • Involvement in all stages of change programme lifecycle, from initiation and design to post-implementation • Ensure Sub Ledger Data can support Finance requirements • Validate upstream booking systems data as fit for Finance use • Liaise with stakeholders and team members across various locations and time zones • Link between Business teams and technology partners in ensuring delivery supports Business requirements. • Performs systems and user acceptance testing • Understands how to configure SAP enrichment logic and mapping tables to achieve desired accounting outcome • CA / ACCA or Equivalent
