- Develop strong understanding of business operations and processes
- Act as trusted advisor to stakeholders (Finance, Operations, Projects)
- Facilitate workshops to define KPIs and reporting needs
- Translate business needs into functional requirements and user stories
- Support development of Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
- Define and standardize KPIs and reporting frameworks
- Drive consistency in KPI definitions and reporting structures
- Support data governance initiatives and best practices
- Support stakeholders in interpreting dashboards and insights
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5–8 years in Business Analysis or BI/reporting roles
- Proven experience translating business needs into data and BI solutions
- Mandatory experience in a project based, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment
- Exposure to finance, business control, or operations domains
- Proficiency in Power BI (incl. Star Schema or similar relations)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, IFS, Dynamics)
- Professional proficiency in English

Job Purpose
- As a Business Analyst at Damen, you play a key role in understanding business needs and translating them into actionable data and reporting solutions.
- You act as a bridge between business stakeholders and data/IT teams, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined and converted into meaningful dashboards, KPIs, and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strong understanding of business operations and processes.
- Act as trusted advisor to stakeholders (Finance, Operations, Projects).
- Proactively challenge business requirements and assumptions.
- Facilitate workshops to define KPIs and reporting needs.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements and user stories.
- Align business expectations with data models, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
- Support development of Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Define and standardize KPIs and reporting frameworks.
- Drive consistency in KPI definitions and reporting structures.
- Support data governance initiatives and best practices.
- Support stakeholders in interpreting dashboards and insights.
- Provide guidance and training on data driven decision making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5–8 years in Business Analysis or BI/reporting roles.
- Strong stakeholder management and requirement gathering experience.
- Proven experience translating business needs into data and BI solutions.
- Mandatory experience in a project based, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
- Exposure to finance, business control, or operations domains.
- Power BI (incl. Star Schema or similar relations).
- ERP systems (SAP, IFS, Dynamics).
- Understanding of data modelling concepts.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Professional proficiency in English.
