- Proactively challenge business requirements and assumptions to ensure clarity and feasibility
- Facilitate workshops to define KPIs and reporting needs
- Translate business needs into functional requirements and user stories
- Align business expectations with data models, dashboards, and reporting solutions
- Support development of Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
- Define and standardize KPIs and reporting frameworks
- Drive consistency in KPI definitions and reporting structures
- Support data governance initiatives and best practices
- Support stakeholders in interpreting dashboards and insights
- Provide guidance and training on data driven decision making
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5 8 years of experience in Business Analysis or BI/reporting roles
- Strong stakeholder management and requirement gathering experience
- Proven experience translating business needs into data and BI solutions
- Mandatory experience in a project based, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment
- Exposure to finance, business control, or operations domains
- Proficiency in Power BI (incl. Star Schema or similar relations)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, IFS, Dynamics)
- Understanding of data modelling concepts
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken

Position Overview
- As a Business Analyst at Damen, you play a key role in understanding business needs and translating them into actionable data and reporting solutions.
- You act as a bridge between business stakeholders and data/IT teams, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined, challenged where needed, and converted into meaningful dashboards, KPIs, and insights.
- This role requires strong business understanding, stakeholder engagement, excellent communication skills and the ability to translate operational needs into structured BI solutions.
