Role Overview
- As a Business Analyst at Damen, you play a key role in translating data into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- You identify information needs and convert them into clear dashboards and reports that support management decision making.
- You operate at the intersection of business and data, acting as a liaison between stakeholders, data engineers, dashboard developers, and the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business questions and information needs into structured reports, analyses, and dashboards.
- Perform business, financial, and statistical analyses to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g., Power BI).
- Monitor performance indicators and identify operational risks and improvement opportunities.
- Provide data driven recommendations to support management decision making.
- Define, document, and prioritize business requirements and user stories.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews.
- Ensure alignment between business needs and data solution delivery.
- Support implementation of data governance standards and policies.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of KPI definitions and reporting frameworks.
- Contribute to development of data models and validation standards.
