Role Overview

  • The Business Analyst and Project Support leads analysis and documentation of business requirements to support projects for designated programs/services within IMITS.
  • Works in close collaboration with stakeholders to develop business systems enhancements, solutions, or processes.
  • Functions as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) through performing gap analysis and business process mapping.

What you’ll do

  • Ensure key results are achieved by analyzing current business systems and processes, generating ideas and formulating recommendations.
  • Implement effective processes to assess project risks, identify mitigation strategies, and monitor risk throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide professional expertise to staff, departments, and stakeholders regarding standard project management processes.
  • Review, analyze and define current/future state processes and contribute to specifications and testing.
  • Provide user support, advice, orientation, and develop training content and deliver training.
  • Develop and maintain online course content, business processes, policies, procedures, and reference documentation.

What you bring

  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Health Information Science, Computer Science, or related discipline, plus five years recent related experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the historic and ongoing impacts of settler colonialism on Indigenous Peoples in social and health contexts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of systemic racism and commitment to eradicating Indigenous specific racism.
  • Knowledge of legislative obligations and provincial commitments including TRC Calls to Action, In Plain Sight, UNDRIP, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to carry out business process mapping and fit gap analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Superior analytical, problem solving and system analysis skills.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute projects with stringent timelines.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide professional expertise and guidance.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide user support, advice, and training.

Salary Range

  • CAD 69,218 CAD 99,501 per year, prorated for part time roles.

Hours of Work

  • 08:00 16:00, Monday to Friday.
