Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in Airline Reservation Systems (PSS) to support product enhancements and business initiatives for a leading airline reservation platform.
The ideal candidate should have strong domain knowledge of airline booking processes, experience in Agile environments, and hands-on exposure to SQL and system integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for reservation system enhancements.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Create and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlog items.
- Conduct backlog grooming and support sprint planning activities.
- Perform impact analysis for new features and system changes.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure business requirements are delivered effectively.
- Execute SQL queries for data validation, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Support UAT activities and coordinate defect resolution.
- Prepare functional documentation, release notes, and training materials.
- Ensure solutions align with airline operational requirements and business objectives.
Required Skills
- Experience as a Business Analyst within the Airline/Aviation domain.
- Strong knowledge of Airline Reservation Systems (PSS) such as Sabre, Amadeus, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of airline booking, ticketing, and ancillary service processes.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency in:
O Backlog Management & Prioritization
- o Stakeholder Management
- o SQL Queries and Data Analysis
- o API Integrations and XML Messaging
- o System Interfaces and Data Flows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with airline loyalty programs or holiday booking systems.
- Exposure to cloud-based applications and microservices architecture.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
