Job Description
Fabricate, assemble, and install busbar systems and low-voltage electrical switchgear panels.
Responsibilities
- Interpret design drawings to determine busbar size and specifications.
- Measure, cut, punch, and bend busbars to required dimensions and tolerances.
- Install insulation, fixings, and supports for busbar assemblies.
- Mount circuit breakers, relays, and other components in electrical panels.
- Install low-voltage switchgear panels on site according to approved drawings.
- Verify busbar alignment, earthing, and cable terminations.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning with engineers and QC teams.
- Follow HSE standards and maintain an organized work area.
- Prepare job completion documents and maintenance reports.
Skills
- Operate and maintain busbar machines.
- Read technical drawings and bills of materials.
- Handle switchgear components.
- Apply HSE rules and safety standards.
Competency
- Diploma in Engineering with 3 years of experience, or ITI with 5 years of experience.
