Role Overview
Join AECOM's Bridges team in Birmingham as a Civil and Structural Engineering Apprentice.
Gain hands-on experience across projects from concept design through implementation for local, national, and international clients.
Support bridge network assessment, maintenance, and structural renewals for major transport hubs.
Apprentice Responsibilities
- Produce CAD drawings.
- Support structural design and desktop publishing tasks.
- Assist with project administration and record-keeping.
- Review and analyse data.
- Contribute to problem-solving and design solutions.
- Participate in site visits to gather information or observe conditions.
- Work toward Engineering Technician status and later Incorporated Engineer status with ICE or IStructE.
Entry Qualifications
- At least five GCSEs or equivalent at grade C/4 or above, including Mathematics and English.
- Three A-Levels or equivalent, including Mathematics and a physical science at grade C or above, are required for the Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship.
- Some experience or shadowing in an engineering environment is preferred.
