Role Overview
Provide expert technical guidance for major bridges and highway structures across design, construction, inspection, rehabilitation, and maintenance activities.
The role involves coordination with clients, project managers, contractors, design consultants, and other specialists.
Technical Responsibilities
- Review structural designs, drawings, calculations, specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Supervise foundations, substructures, superstructures, bearings, expansion joints, approaches, and protection works.
- Ensure compliance with IRC codes, MoRTH/NHAI specifications, BIS standards, approved drawings, and contractual requirements.
- Inspect structural materials, reinforcement, concrete, steel, prestressing systems, bearings, and expansion joints.
- Conduct structural inspections and condition assessments and identify defects, distress, deterioration, and risks.
- Recommend repair, rehabilitation, strengthening, retrofitting, and maintenance measures.
