What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

• Prep & Portioning: Follow prep lists from the Executive Chef or Sous Chef, measuring ingredients, seasoning proteins, and ensuring all elements are ready for service.
• Ingredient Preparation: Wash and chop vegetables, cut meats, and prepare other food items according to recipes.
• Organization & Labeling: Stock and label all ingredients in an orderly fashion for easy access.
• Recipe Execution: Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards to maintain consistency.
• Station Readiness: Maintain a clean and organized station while practicing proper food safety and sanitation.
• Backup Responsibilities: AM Backup: Set up the steam table with proper water levels and heat food to service-ready temperatures. PM Backup: Monitor the steam table during service, maintaining par levels and ensuring proper temperatures.

• General Kitchen Support: Assist with dishwashing, trash removal, and any other kitchen duties as needed.
