Responsibilities
- Monitor and oversee repair and maintenance activities of all BMS controlled systems
- Perform routine inspections to ensure proper functioning of control systems
- Operate and monitor HVAC, fire alarm, and other critical systems through the BMS
- Adjust system parameters and variables to maintain operations within defined limits
- Record and analyze operational data to support energy efficiency improvements
- Ensure all activities comply with safety and environmental regulations
- Report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, or practices to concerned authority
- Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Maintain proper documentation and provide regular written reports
- Troubleshoot and resolve unexpected technical issues
- Support site management in selecting and procuring materials
- Provide recommendations for system upgrades and improvements
Requirements
- Diploma/ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in BMS or facility operations
- Familiarity with BMS software/platforms and control systems
- Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and automation controls
- Understanding of HVAC and fire protection systems
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and data monitoring capability
- Good communication and reporting skills

Overview
- The BMS Operator is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining building automation systems, ensuring optimal performance of HVAC, fire, and other integrated systems.
- The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and supporting energy efficiency initiatives while adhering to safety standards.
Your Role
- Monitor and oversee repair and maintenance activities of all BMS controlled systems carried out by service providers across the site.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure proper functioning of control systems, and carry out troubleshooting and minor repairs as per the Daily/Weekly Maintenance Plan.
- Operate and monitor HVAC, fire alarm, and other critical systems through the BMS to ensure efficient and safe performance.
- Adjust system parameters and variables as required to maintain operations within defined limits and optimal conditions.
- Record and analyze operational data of HVAC and other BMS controlled systems to support energy efficiency improvements and performance tracking.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Immediately report any accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, or practices to the concerned authority.
- Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks to enhance awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain proper documentation and provide regular written reports on maintenance, repairs, and system performance to management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve unexpected technical issues or operational challenges in a timely manner.
- Support site management in selecting and procuring materials required for maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of materials and equipment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in BMS or facility operations.
- Familiarity with BMS software/platforms and control systems.
