Requirements
- Proven experience as a welder with a minimum of two years’ experience
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG, arc, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing
- Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required
- Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate)
- Diploma or ITI / Technical training certification in welding
- Oil and gas experience in the manufacturing field
- Able to communicate in English

Job Summary
- In this role, the bits welder will be expected to join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate techniques and using various welding devices.

Responsibilities/Accountability & Authority
- Always follow safe work practices and procedures.
- Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.

Behavioral Skills/Competencies & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a welder with a minimum of two years’ experience.
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG, arc, etc.).
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (vernier caliper, measuring tape, protractor, etc.).
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face shield, gloves etc.).
- Deftness and attention to detail.
- Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required.
- Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate).
- Knowledge of manual welding techniques.
- The habit of maintaining clean workspaces.
- The ability to learn new technologies and practices.
- The knowledge and ability to select the most appropriate tools for each situation.
Qualifications And Experience
- Diploma or ITI (Industrial Training Institute) / Technical training certification in welding.
- Qualification of various welding processes like MIG, TIG, and ARC welding (Total experience 2 Years), Oil and gas experience in the manufacturing field.
Skills, Training, Special Knowledge, And/or Language Skills
- Able to communicate in English and be able to take and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to prepare, read, and interpret blueprints, reports, instructions, procedures, and guidelines.
