Responsibilities
- Extract BIM data (Revit + IFC) using Autodesk Platform Services (APS)
- Work with Model Derivative and Data Management APIs to access model information in the cloud
- Transform raw BIM data into structured formats (JSON, CSV, Parquet)
- Process and prepare geometry data for analysis and downstream systems
- Build validation logic for model quality (clashes, missing elements, inconsistencies)
- Validate IFC structure, properties, and schema completeness
- Design reliable data pipelines (async jobs, webhooks, retries, large model handling)
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure extracted data reflects real model intent
Requirements
- Strong Python experience (backend or data engineering focus)
- Hands on experience with Autodesk Platform Services (APS)
- Understanding of BIM data: IFC, Revit parameters, property sets, classifications
- Experience working with geometry or spatial data (meshes, transforms, spatial queries)
- Familiarity with JSON and analytical data formats (Parquet is a plus)

- We’re supporting a client on a short term project focused on building data pipelines from BIM models and turning complex Revit and IFC data into clean, structured datasets for analytics and AI use cases.
About the Role
- This is a fully remote, 3 month contract role. The focus is on cloud based BIM data processing, not Revit modelling or design work.

- Experience combining multiple BIM models (federation, cross model analysis)
- C# / .NET background
- IfcOpenShell or xBIM experience
- APS Viewer or three.js
- Cloud pipelines (queues, containers, storage)
- DuckDB or similar analytical databases
- AEC / construction domain exposure
